Nozawa Onsen Distillery opened in December 2022 and is located in the heart of Nozawa Onsen Village. The distillery lives in a historic refurbished canning factory that originally preserved vegetables and other natural ingredients. Just a few minutes' walk from Nozawa Onsen Village's main street, Oyu-dori, the distillery offers gin tastings, distillery tours, and gift shop.

Through its carefully crafted gin, the distillery hopes to share the natural splendors and beauty of Nozawa Onsen. All spirits use locally sourced botanicals and fresh Nozawa Onsen spring water that filters for 50 years through ancient mountain granite.

In addition to gin, Nozawa Onsen Distillery is expanding its production of single malt whiskey, which is distilled and then aged in various wooden casks for at least three years before it can be enjoyed.
