Climbing Mt. Kiso-Komagatake and Senjojiki Cirque

Kiso-Komagatake is the tallest peak of the Central Japan Alps at 2,956m. It is also the home of Senjojiki Cirque, one of Nagano's popular sightseeing spots with access via the Komagatake Ropeway.
From the Senjojiki Ropeway Station (2,650m), the hike takes approximately 3.7 hours round-trip. From the ropeway station you can enjoy majestic views of the Southern Japanese Alps as well as Senjojiki Cirque itself, and at the top of Kiso-Komagatake a 360 degree panorama of the the Japanese Alps and Mt. Ontake awaits you.
