The Komatsunagi Cherry Tree

Southern Nagano, centered on Iida City, has approximately 70 noble cherry trees over 300 years old. One of these is the Komatsunagi Cherry Tree, standing beside a rice paddy next to the Tosando Trail in Achi Village.
The cherry blossoms bloom between mid- to late April, reflecting beautiful in the surface of the water below. During this time, the tree is also lit up at night.
Just a short taxi ride from Hirugami Onsen, it is a great spot to visit when staying in the area during spring.
