Lake Nakatsuna is the smallest of Omachi's three lakes, located between Omachi City and the Hakuba Valley. During the end of April and beginning of May, mountain cherries bloom around the lake, reflecting in its placid waters.

Access and Parking

Access	By Train/Bus: From Nagano Station, take the Hakuba line bus to Hakuba Station (60 min., 2,000 yen). From there, take the Oito line train south to Yanaba Station (18 min., 240 yen). The lake is right outside the station. From Matsumoto Station, take the Oito line train to Yanaba Station (60-80 min., 990 yen). From Shinano-Omachi Station, take the Oito line train to Yanaba Station (18 min., 240 yen). By Car: 38km/50 minutes from the Azumino IC exit. 40km/50 minutes from the Nagano IC exit.
